Baby Essentials Checklist

3 sets of clothes for changing, suitable for the season

2 packs of wet wipes

1 pack of dry wipes

Disposable/cloth diapers (if the child uses them)

Toothbrush and toothpaste

Cup/straw bottle/baby bottle (depending on the child's preferred water-drinking method)

Bedding set with dimensions (cribs are 140cmx70cm; please bring comfortable bedding components for the child - blanket and pillow/comforter/blanket sleeping bag, etc.)

Item that provides the child with a sense of security (e.g., pacifier, muslin cloth, favorite stuffed animal)

Adaptation

The adaptation period is crucial for both the child, caregivers, and staff. During this time, we introduce the little one to a new, safe environment, acquaint them with our surroundings, and immerse them in the world of integration and cooperation. Every child has unique needs and emotions, which is why at ‘Pierwsze Kroczki,’ we don’t follow a fixed adaptation schedule. For our team, the most important aspect is getting to know each child and then collaboratively determining the adaptation process with the caregivers

We begin the adaptation process at the appointed time with the caregiver in the room. The duration and course of the following days are determined based on the child’s comfort level and the caregivers’ expectations.

It’s important to remember that each child may experience adaptation differently, so we always ask caregivers not to set overly high expectations for themselves and the little one.

How, then, to prepare for the adaptation period and go through it smoothly

Give Time for Adaptation: Allow your child time to accept the new situation and understand their emotions.
Accept Your Emotions: While acknowledging your own emotions, refrain from displaying negative emotions in the child’s presence.
A positive attitude from caregivers towards adaptation helps the child feel secure.
Farewell with Ease: Bid farewell to your child gently and calmly, using clear and truthful communication.
Initial Days: In the early days, let your child decide which activities to join.
Trust the Caregivers: Have faith in the caregivers who wholeheartedly provide a safe and warm environment for your little one.

Catering

The catering service we utilize specializes in preparing and delivering meals for children in daycare, preschool, and school age. Menus are curated by a dietitian with expertise in child nutrition. All ingredients used in meal preparation are sourced from trusted suppliers with years of collaboration. All dishes, afternoon snacks, and desserts are prepared on-site by our chefs. The company refrains from using artificial additives and enhancers, relying solely on natural spices while adhering to child nutrition standards.

Dietary needs, exclusions based on medical recommendations, cultural preferences, and religious considerations are highly diverse. Therefore, we ensure that each child receives a diet tailored to the declared needs provided by caregivers. We are open to crafting individualized menus that cater to both parental requests and the child’s preferences.
